Passionate. Intense. Vivid. Just some of the words that critics and musicians have used to describe the performances of conductor, Robert Nordling. He serves as Principal Conductor of the Baroque on Beaver Island Music Festival, Conductor of the Trinity University Orchestra and is active world-wide as a guest conductor. He has also taught in the areas of music history and conducting and is an active composer and arranger.

Maestro Nordling has released recordings of Beethoven Symphony No. 6, Brahms Symphony No. 2, St. Saens Symphony No. 3 and Brahms’ Schicksalslied with the Calvin Orchestra. His recording of Mahler Symphony No. 1, the ‘Titan’ won a national Telly Award in May of 2008. Recently released was a DVD featuring Beethoven Symphony No. 5.
